Experience

Previous Occupation

Prior to being called to the Bar, Natalie practised as a solicitor running commercial litigation, employment law, family law, child protection and commercial crime files. During this time, she sat on the Professional Development Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria.

Before working as a solicitor, Natalie worked as a paralegal at the Australian Wheat Board, where she organised privileged documents relating to international trade. She also worked as an employment law advisor for a federal employer association. In this role, she advised employers with respect to appropriate termination of employees, lodgement of workplace agreements, employee entitlements and award rates. Upon graduation, Natalie worked in the Registry of the Australian Industrial Relations Commission (now the Fair Work Commission) on its National Telephone Enquiry Service, advising callers with respect to employment law litigation.

Whilst studying law Natalie worked as a personal assistant to a commercial law barrister, and volunteered as a co-ordinator at the Peninsula Community Legal Centre Legal Advice Service (where she managed a team of solicitors). She also volunteered at the Monash Oakleigh Legal Service Family Law Assistance program, and did work experience with Victoria’s Governor.
